Crystal Ball

I’m loving how busy things are at this time of year! In fact, I just love this time of year in general. I love how everyone is so happy and helpful, the lights, the decorations, the music…well, maybe not all the music. I think a lot of Christmas songs are a little, well, corny. One of my least favorite is “The Little Drummer Boy.” We could gather together the world’s greatest minds and not one of them would be able to tell us what the heck  “Bah-rum-pum-pum-pum” means. Anyway, I was in line at the store the other day and as I was waiting I heard this very song coming from their store’s speakers. It ended up being Bob Seger’s version of the song and I must say, he reaaaaaaally gets into it! hahaha Check it out here when you get a chance.

What do I really love though? Christmas portraits! Here are a few fun ones of some great kids! Enjoy!

Best time of year

I have to say that I have a lot of great clients. I updated this family’s portrait a few days ago. I can’t ask for a better group of people to work with!  They were so much fun and I love when they have me back for their portrait needs. I’ve photographed eagle scouts and senior portraits for them in the past and now I’m so glad to create their new family portrait for them! Stay tuned for more!

A night at the inn…

This passed weekend, Kendra and I went up to St. George, Utah to attend a family reunion. I won’t say much about that other than it isn’t much different than any of your family reunions; food, talking, food then goodbyes. What I do want to talk about is my stay at the hotel. I’m not about to plug the Holiday Inn or anything. I just noticed something…something rather strange. What is it you ask? Well, proceed 3 lines down to find out!

Welcome back! Ok, so what I noticed about being in a hotel is that every single time I stay in a hotel, I always end up watching these three things on TV.

1) A Dennis Quaid movie.

It doesn’t matter which one I watch because there’s always 3 selections to choose from and they’ll play multiple times during the night.

2) A pastor of some sort.

Now, I have my own faith but for some reason if there’s a pastor on tv and I’m in a hotel, I will devote at least 15 minutes to listen to what they are selling. This weekend, I listened to a pastor try to sell me faith for $1,000.

3) Workout DVDs.I seem to always be eating pizza, burger or a bottle of high fructose corn syrup whenever I’m in a hotel and lo and behold I ingest a good 30 minutes to 22 hours worth of workout advertisements. Be it the P90X, Insanity workout, Brazil Butt Lift or a machine that not even the most health conscious supermodels look good doing. Maybe I’m just jealous… sigh.
